There is an open bug report concerning this, the alternative keyboard shortcut Control+L can be used to select the location bar.

If "Tabs on top" is disabled F6 will select the location bar.

Hi TonyE, Thanks for the answer. Just pointing out that only pressing F6+Tab will select the location bar irregardless of the "Tabs on top" option. Hope the next patch release addresses this and the Ctrl+E setting.
