Product key for which program? Firefox doesn't use or even have a product key. I you are talking about a Windows 7 product key, look for a "Genuine Microsoft" sticker on the bottom of that laptop. The product key on that sticker should be valid for all the factory installed Microsoft products that came installed on that laptop.

I wouldn't advice to enter the Windows product key on a website, even if they ask for it.
If someone else uses your product key then MS may invalidate yours.

I can't imagine that a site needs to know that key.

Do these sites use specific software?
Do you trust those sites?
