Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything different that I've done that has led to this problem. Same sites, same habits.

At any rate, I always leave FF running. I'm using Windows Vista, and all I do is close the lid on my laptop, it shuts everything down into Sleep Mode. I come back to it, *boom* everything comes back to life.

Recently however, after closing and reopening the lid, FF tells me that it has gone into Offline Mode. I haven't found anything in the Tools/Options to fix the problem, so I have to close and restart. Granted, this isn't a major problem, but it's an annoyance.

Any ideas of what has happened and how to fix it from going to Offline Mode?

Thanks much.

You can try to create a new Boolean pref with the name network.manage-offline-status and set the value to false.

You can right-click on the about:config page to open the right-click context menu and use "New > Boolean" to create a new Boolean pref.

Name: network.manage-offline-status
Value: false
