I will be moving my old 32 bit Win 10 OS to a new 64 bit SSD. How do I migrate bookmarks, prefs, etc to the new system? Anything special I need to do or know?

Have you been using a Firefox account with Sync enabled on your old laptop? If so, all you need to do is log into Firefox on the new computer and everything will loading.

The migration is not from a laptop. It is from my old 128gb SSD that has Win 10 32 bit installed. That now has a h/w fault, unbootable but readable. I'm replacing it with a clean 500gb SSD and a new Win 10 64 bit OS. The PC is fully 64 bit.

The migration will occur in the PC with the 128 SSD as D: and the 500 SSD as C:. I intend to simply duplicate all the app directories onto the 500 SSD where possible. I just need to be sure I can migrate all my preferences, bookmarks, passwords and other settings. If need be, I will clean install FF, but then that raises the migration concerns I have.

However I did sync my cell phone FF to the PC so would that work?

Right, once you get into Windows just open Firefox and then log into your account and the items that you have checked off in the sync section should appear.

Thanks. Just got the PC working again with a clean Windows install. So I am a few days away from migrating FF and I will let you know how it went.
