After upgrade sites require login/authentication, re-personilzation

I stay logged into WaPo, NYT and some other sites on one PC. But after the most recent FF update, I have to re-login to all sites (but just on the first visit), or use two-factor authentication to have my device (PC) trusted again on banking and some other sites that I don't stay logged into. I also have to reset site preferences and customizations (such as presentation on SlickDeals), if sites provide the capability. Can I fix that?

I make daily backups, so I can restore a configuration file(s) from before the update. But, which one(s), if any?

It's also asking me to confirm container choices (though it does remember the correct container).

Hello there! I understand the frustration you're experiencing after the recent Firefox update. Don't worry; there's a way to fix it! It sounds like some site preferences and login information got reset during the update. To restore your previous settings, try going to your Firefox profile folder and look for files like cookies.sqlite, logins.json, and permissions.sqlite. You can replace the current ones with the backups you have made before the update. After that, restart Firefox, and your sites should remember your logins and preferences again. Remember to back up your current profile folder just in case. If you need more help, feel free to ask! Happy browsing!
