I have an iPhone 12 mini which does FaceID and does not have a fingerprint touch pad.

Firefox for iOS now is asking for fingerprint to access my passwords or my access code--but this phone has not fingerprint option. How can I get it to acept faceID instead? Why does it not *KNOW* to ask for FaceID or offer that as an option?

This is new behavior since....maybe iOS16 update?

Suspect this one is a FF bug.
