Firefox is running 30+ instances of apps in task mgr when I go to my email acct. it is taking up 30+% of memory, and 27% of cpu time--what is wrong here?

How many tabs have you opened as the System Details show 27 webIsolated processes ?

You can check the about:memory and about:processes pages for info about all processes. See also the about:unloads page for info about the tabs.
