Hi. I have been running Firefox Beta on a Sony Bravia VH1 TV (X900H with Android TV 10) for almost two years, downloaded from firefox-ci-tc.services.mozilla.com. I typically install the latest armeabi-v7a APK once a month. I also keep the TV OS updated. To match the TV resolution, I have browser.viewport.desktopWidth set to 1920.

At some point after April 2022, all browser versions stopped rendering correctly YouTube videos when I select a playback resolution lower than 1080p - the browser displays a zoomed-in and cropped on all sides video, basically, just the center of the video frame. This is happening in all view modes - default, theater, full screen, mini player. The issue is also impacting Vimeo and other streaming sites. Even services for which the playback resolution is not user-controllable.

I still have an old APK which does not have this issue - v100.0.0-beta.4 build 2015873993 2022-04-11. I tired it again yesterday after uninstalling the latest version and the video playback worked just fine.

Any idea what might be causing this and if it is fixable with about:config, or extensions, or if there is a bug tracking this issue?

Thank you.
