I recently switched to a UK keyboard layout (Logitech MX keys with UK layout), from a US international layout. I changed the system settings to use the proper input and it works like a charm on every program I have, except the browser. Even if I have changed Firefox's main language as "English (UK)" and restarted it, it doesn't recognize sequences such as "CTRL + `" follwed by a vocal. Is there any known solution to this issue?

For future readers, I solved this by switching to the UK extended keyboard layout, which behaves like the US international one (only with keys positioned like the UK layout). I find it a bit annoying when writing backticks, but it works fine.

Hi, the Alt Gr key plus the letter you want to be accented works for me. For example á é í ó ú.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please help other users by marking the best reply as Solved. Thank you!

This covers acute accents like á, but not grave accents like à (which I had to copy and paste from Word).
