I have had btconnect working on thunderbird/w10 before but had to do a clean reinstall of w10 to appease sage accounting software (another story). Wish I had noted down the settings... Now unable to configure TB for btconnect email I'd much appreciate some help with: IMAP vs POP (has to be POP for btconnect I think?) server host names (incoming and outgoing) Port numbers or auto SSL/TLS or STARTTLS authentication choice

thanks RS

I think btconnect accounts are POP only, which may be a serious limitation if you access the account from multiple devices:

For POP, the setup is the same as for Office365 or outlook.com/hotmail:

incoming POP server: outlook.office365.com on port 995, SSL/TLS security, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address.

outgoing SMTP server: smtp.office365.com on port 587, STARTTLS security, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address.

You might have to enable POP in the account's webmail settings.
