Hello,

If I set my search bar to use Encrypted Google or if I search on https://encrypted.google.com directly, my results appear underlined and with the "settings" and "tools" menu options available to the left instead of as menus in the top right of the search results screen. Chrome searches produce the expected results. Firefox searches from https://www.google.com are as expected. I have tested with a Windows desktop and a Mac Laptop. Both produce the same results. I have also switched to a mobile network to make sure my router wasn't the issue.

I have attached screenshots of the issue and expected results. The first is the issue. The second is expected and how the results appear in Chrome from all Google searches and Firefox from regular Google searches.

Lastly, I deleted Encrypted Google from my search choices and added it via the addon option and the results remained the same.

Thanks

I can get the "old style" if I disable JavaScript. However, as long as JavaScript is enabled, I get the new style.

I wonder if there is some other criterion Google users to decide how to lay out the page for different users?

By the way, now that the main Google site is https, is there a particular reason to use the encrypted address? Do you get different results?

Thanks a ton for your response. I had "https://encrypted.google.com" blocked with noscript so it redirected me to the "old" results. The entire Google domain in the Chrome script blocker is white-listed which explains why Chrome works fine.

Everything was working fine until recently. I assume the update to Quantum and the new version of noscript changed something with my rules.

Are those screen shot when you on the Google page or a search page using google search? Is it just that when you do that - that it happens?

To summarize my original issue:

https://www.google.com (Chrome and Firefox) - Fine https://encrypted.google.com (Firefox) - Old style results https://encrypted.google.com (Chrome) - Fine

I just did some digging and apparently there is no longer a difference between https://www.google.com and https://encrypted.google.com. I didn't know this.

Regardless, my issue was fixed by white-listing https://encrypted.google.com in noscript.

Thanks again
