I must have Google linked as the default browser in Firefox. I would like to keep Google active in Google Chrome but when I open Firefox I would like Google not to be the selected Browser. It causing issues with my company website.

Assistance is appreciated,

Thx,

I'm confused. Let me ask you two different questions:

(1) Is it correct that you want Google Chrome to be your default browser meaning that if you launch a link from another application (for example, Adobe Reader), you want the link to open in Chrome?

If so, you can turn off the feature in Firefox that asks whether you want Firefox to be your default browser so you aren't having to tell it no all the time. See: Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings -- first checkbox on the Options page.

With Chrome as your default browser, you can start Firefox using its shortcut.

(2) In Firefox, is it correct that you want to be "logged out" of your Google account? If you are logged into Google in Firefox, you can sign out using the menu in the upper right corner of the Gmail/Search/other page. Sometimes you might also have to click a second confirmation. Then don't log in again.

If you saved your Google password in Firefox to fill in for you, you can clear that on the Options page:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options

In the left column click Security, then on the right side, the "Saved Passwords" button.

Does that get you set up the way you want? If not, could you be more specific about what you want Firefox to do and not to do?
