We would like to switch our ISP to something else, but our main e-mail used is specific to the arvig.net . Can thunderbird still receive the e-mails with the old address?

I don't know what 'If I change isp can (also has our main e-mail)' means. You'll need to clarify with your ISP that your mail service continues when you terminate the contract.
