Ever since I came home (~2hrs ago), I'm unable to connect to any of the mozilla.org websites without using a VPN.

"Server not found Firefox can't find the server at addons.mozilla.org." "Server not found Firefox can't find the server at support.mozilla.org." "Server not found Firefox can't find the server at mozilla.org."

I have tired everything written here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/server-not-found-connection-problem That is:

  1. I changed "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy".
  2. I disabled DNS Prefetching.
  3. I disabled IPv6.
  4. I cleared cookies and cache.
  5. I checked for malware.

I have no trouble accessing other websites. And I can access mozilla.org via my mobile. But I can only access it on my PC using a VPN connection. And I was able to access it normally, not even 12 hours ago.

What might be the problem?

Chosen solution

Yeah, I actually figured it out an hour ago, after opening paypal.com in Bitdefender's Safepay browser. The error in it said something along the lines of: "DNS server couldn't resolve the address".

I changed my DNS servers to Google's (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) and the problem is now gone.

Thanks for the reply, though.

HAD same problem 2 years ago. Turned out it was both DNS servers at Bellsouth.net after some routine maintenance was done (in error!). The links resolved fine the next morning. Good luck.
