This item is included in the Firefox add-ons website. The first section is "Featured Extensions" and the second is "Up and Coming Extensions". The fist item in that section is what I am referring to.

"Up & Coming Extensions.........." •

Self-Destructing Cookies Privacy & Security"

This is the item that I installed and am now desperate uninstal.

If you can help I shall be in your debt!!

OK Thanks for the clarification, got it

As it is an officially hosted add-on it should easily uninstall.
Just go to your add-ons manager, one method of doing that is to key into the address bar about:addons look for the add-on under | extensions |and use the [remove] option, or if you just wish to stop using it at the moment take the [disable] option.

Please post back with how you get on.
