How can I update from Firefox 2 with Mac system OX 3.0.9?

more options

My wife works with a MAC computer version OX3.0.9 using Firefox 2. Firefox asks her to update to a more recent Firefox program (for security reasons and new features) but it appears that Firefox 3 will not operate on OX3.0.9. Is there any way to overcome this problem (or is Firefox telling us that this MAC is reduntant and must be thrown away?). If so, it's a pity. Had the same problem with a new Google Earth program. Look forward to hearing from you and thank in anticipation. Edward Bent

Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever release for Mac OSX 10.3.9 and earlier versions.
Get it here:

Web browser choices are somewhat limited for that old Mac, but there are a few older Mac user groups out there who offer updated browsers.
