I have been using the free Avast software for over a year and just purchased the advanced Avast Internet security software a couple days ago. This morning I downloaded the new version of Firefox and it said it disabled Avast since it is not compatible!!! I will now have to revert to the old version of Firefox or go back to Windows Explorer. This makes me unhappy. Why would you make a version of Firefox that is not compatible with a security system?

You can try this extension to override compatibility issues,

Once it is installed, open Addons Manager and re-enable Avast addon.
