how to get scanquery.com website off firefox
Why am I being redirected to 'scanquery.com' whenever I type something in the URL bar? I use to be able to go to google direct.

I had the same problem. After doing everything to remove scanquery form registry and file locations I also had to change firefox config setting "keyword.URL". (Type about:config in the address bar, look for "keyword.URL", double-click and clear its value, which is a link to scanquery web site)

i did the config thing, it doesnt help! and now my email accounts have been hacked and i cant get the site's help becuase it jumps to this scanquery thing!!!
I solved it, I hope. it didnt happen for a week or so. I just entered the add-ons and there was our beloved "SCANQUERY" add-on pieceofS***!!! are people just so bored they create viruses????
Hi thanks for the tip on the scanquery.com url bar redirection, the solution looks like it in the about:config and the keyword.url reset for the redirecting issues.
