I've been using TB for many years on Windows & Mac with few problems. Recently on my Mac, TB could not connect to any of my (several) mail servers at all. Eventually, it was discovered that the SOCKS Proxy had been ticked in the advanced network settings. Unticking this and all was well.

Unfortunately, this poxy Proxy sets itself again every few weeks. I know how to unset it but:

1) Can anyone tell me if there is something I can set in TB to overcome this?

2) Can anyone tell me why this Proxy setting keeps changing without me knowing?

(I'm the only user of this MacBook.)

I think the problems started after the most recent TB update to 60.6.1 on 27th March.
