How can I add the "options" tab when writing an email

more options

When my boss goes to write and email he doesn't not have the "OPTIONS" tab. Mine shows "FILE" "EDIT" "INSERT" "FORMAT" "OPTIONS" "TOOLS" "HELP" Under that is the "Send" "Spelling" "Attach" "Security" and "Save"

How can I add the "Options" and other options I have to his.

We have the same, most up to date version of Thinderbird

One of you is composing in HTML and the other is using Plain Text. The Options choice is not on the Menu Bar when using Plain Text. Hold the Shift key when clicking on Write to toggle composition modes on a one time basis. Go to Account Settings-Composition and Addressing and check the HTML box to make it permanent.

Hold the shift key when clicking Write. Is it there now?
