these crashes stated about 5 days ago. now crashes are happening without gah messages and happening more repeatedly. I am running tampermonkey with panda crazy and panda crazy helper for my Amazon Mturk acct. had memory leak before. Updated from 4 ram to 8 and still memory leak but now with crashes increasing. Today was horrible. Help me, please. Will have to go to chrome to do my work as much as I hate to do this as they are evil. Please help me solve this dilemma. Happens only when using Mturk programs but data leak using op ram quickly to near 7 in about an hour.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

crashes continue as I run Mturk scripts in the background. Crap even after i deleted cookies as a last ditch effort

I would suggest to try uninstalling MalwareBytes, see if the issue persists, then update your video graphics drivers.

I think you need to go further on the drivers and go to the motherboard makers web site and get the AMD Chipset Drivers. Also any other updated drivers they may have as the Cd for the motherboard is out dated by time ships. Provided of course not running HP or something that does not give you the tools.

more options

I do not think that I can do that. Motherboard is about ten years old I believe. (or maybe at least 7 anyway) It is a machine that was patched together form a few old ones. Also running Window 7 pro here too. Don't know if that has anything got to do with it either. It is pirated copy of Windows 7 so I can never update that either if that may be a problem. WTFDIK. My son does this all. I merely use the machine. incidentally, no crashing like this occurred before latest version came out. just as a reminder

more options

I can go thru the various drivers that I have access to and make sure they are updated. Did some yesterday but will check the rest.

somebody took off the second query -cor-el. I updated my ancient video card to the highest date I could from site. Chrome awaits . I never had these crash problems before , Yes I had leakage of ram over time and it performed poorly so I added 4 more G ram and that helped the leakage but then the crashing started. Could it be the ram was compromised? Or was it the new updates? seem like the new updates but maybe its the damn ram sticks I added?

You can do a RAM test just to be sure.

The crashes are shutdown hangs where Firefox fails to close properly.

  • Firefox 59.0.1 Crash Report [@ IPCError-browser | ShutDownKill ]

Use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

  • "3-bar" menu button -> Exit (Power button)
  • Windows: File -> Exit
  • Mac: Firefox -> Quit Firefox
  • Linux: File -> Quit

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Maybe also do a malware scan.
