I'm using Firefox 54.0.1 (32 bit) on Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

I'm not operating private mode. All bookmarks have disappeared and I am unable to save any new bookmarks.

I am unable to restore from previous dates - all dates appear but when any date is selected no restoration takes place. I tried to import the bookmarks from IE but although the window indicates that the process is occurring none of the imported bookmarks appears.

I have had no problems with Firefox until this afternoon.

What can I do other than try a reinstall?

Places Maintenance {web link} Allows to run Maintenance tasks on the database that drives Places, the bookmarks and history module behind Firefox.

Open the Add-ons Manager. Locate the add-on and press the Options button. Then follow the directions.
