Key press on a single key starts to type QWERTY in sequence on each press. The virtual keyboard works okay.

The keyboard has no problems in other programs [except Chrome]

Windows 10 upgrade was last week and everything was okay until today when the Tuesday updates were installed.

Have tried to reinstall keyboard drivers, used another keyboard and change keyboard settings but to no avail.

Obviously something to do with browsers as it only affects Firefox and Chrome [why not Explorer / Edge?].. so have tried to reset settings and then reinstall... but again to no avail.

Any help would be very welcome.

Found it..... took Zonealarm off and everything is fine again.

I forgot Zonealarm had also updated that day... not sure why it only affected Firefox and Chrome but not Edge.

Zonealarm are behind the curve on Windows 10 and obviously still have not got a stable paid version.

Hello there,

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

Give those steps a try and see if the issue still persists

Hope this helps!

Tried safe mode... no different.

I am feeling it is something to do with the recent upgrades for windows 10 but do not know which having removed anything which I thought could affect the browser. Will delete all the updates and see whether that does it.
