I have mozilla firefox on my computer but when i try to download an app it just opens the download library without installing it when i try to open the app from the library it opens a pop up warning message that it may be dangerous and contain a virus. I open it and it opens two pop up windows in an unknown language and it does nothing. Could you help me out?

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Can you attach a screenshot of the warning?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

Thanks for taking the time to solve my problem, but i solved it by my own. You see i had an old version of mozilla so i did an update. After the update it could perfectly download applications (to download them i went to the download library selected the application and at the pop up warning messsage i pressed ok). I still can't download a search engine (google chrome) but from what i've heard mozilla cannot download this. Again thanks for replying so quickly, i appreciate it.

Firefox can download chrome, and chrome is another browser, by a search engine.
