Firefox 4 is causing me too many problems* and I'd like to go back to version 3.6. Can I re-download version 3.6 and install it over the top of version 4? Where can I download it?

Thank you.

  • problems: slow starting, page loading, more than doubled RAM usage, crashes, incompatible extensions/add-ons.

Looks like I found the version 3.6 download page myself:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Another answer to this question suggests uninstalling version 4 first, but I'm going to try installing 3.6 over the top of 4 so I hopefully don't lose my add-ons, etc.

Update: I was able to simply install version 3.6 over the top of version 4 with no problems, and all seems to be working well again, including my old add-ons.
