Firefox doesn't support and has never supported Active X.

ActiveX is the proprietary system that browsers like Internet Explorer uses in place of the NPAPI.

Kinda not true as it was possible Long ago to use a Mozilla ActiveX plugin to do ActiveX control, usually for say Windows Media Player. This ActiveX plugin was block back in June 2012 though.
