Hi,

I'm from desktop support in a company. We are currently facing an issue where Gmail randomly gives us the the Oops 001 error, it counts down from :59 seconds then resets after reaching 0:00 to 5:00 again.

We have tried clearing cache and cookies, restarting Firefox prefs, and reinstalling Firefox. In addition we have updated to the latest version. This issue is on Linux (CentOs 7.8), Windows and Mac.

We are not experiencing the same issue on Google chrome, it appears that it's only effecting Firefox when going to Gmail.

I would appreciate if you could give us some suggestions on how to fix it.

Regards, Sasan

And what google says about it? Google is carrying out a coordinated plan that involves introducing small bugs on its sites that would only manifest for Firefox users.

They has sabotaged Firefox for years, so I'm blaming them by default right now.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

If there is still a problem,

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While you are in Troubleshoot(Safe) mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

@FredMcD

Thank you for you reply.

We have also used the Troubleshooting mode as well as deleting cookies and clearing cache. The issue is still persisting unfortunately.

We basically tried all the suggestions you have mentioned in your reply prior to today but did not resolve the issue.

Thank you

Above response update:

Remove a single website from your history{web link}

Open the History Manager <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site.

Note: All history items (browsing and download history, cookies, cache, active logins, passwords, saved form data, exceptions for cookies, images, pop-ups) for that site will be removed.
