I used an email address as requested as my log in for Firefox doing the install. I had just changed my email password. When asked to create a password for firefox, I created a distinctly new one.

Now my email is blocked whether I use the new email password or the Firefox password associated with the same email (which is my logon for Firefox).

Thoughts? Thank you!

Hi

The password for your email account and the password for your Firefox Account are two different things (for two different accounts).

I would not recomend makingt he passwords the same because of the opportunity for someone who has access to one account being able to access other accounts that you have online.
