I've been using thunderbird for a long time and then all of a sudden about 2 weeks ago, I can't send email, but can receive mail.
I'm using Windows 7 and have been using Thunderbird of over 10 yrs. Now about 2 weeks ago, it started where I'm unable to send mail. It just times out. I'm using port 465. I called my provider to double check on this. I can receive mail. I called my internet provider, but they weren't too helpful.

what mail provider? What anti virus program are you using?
