After having no choice but to upgrade to V 45, It opens with a new tab asking me to "sign In" It rejects all passwords I try including the one I have for Yahoo (server) email. It gives me option to reset password (for TB ?), tells me an email will be sent with link. Email never arrives although all other new emails arrive in server. Going back to main page, it will not download new emails from server, BUT will send new ones I originate. I don't know much about the inner workings of TB, like where I can find the Password it likes. I can survive using server and/or ipad mail, but this is annoying. It wasn't broke, why did you have to fix it?

Chosen solution

It's not Thunderbird rejecting the password, it's your email provider's server.

You can try to reset the password Thunderbird has remembered for the account (if you told Thunderbird to remember it in the first place). http://kb.mozillazine.org/Setting_and_changing_email_passwords
