Hi i need to change my homepage and search page but whenever i click on tools/options the page that pops up to change the settings is too large, it either has the top or bottom of the page. If i can change my home page or search engine i can't save it as the bottom is missing so i can't click ok as this part is missing. Thanks

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

You can drag a link or tab on the toolbar Home button to set that link as the home page (you need to confirm this). You can try to set the home page by modifying the browser.startup.homepage pref on the about:config page directly.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

There are other things that need your attention. Your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  • Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0
  • Shockwave Flash 15.0 r0
  • Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.
