I downloaded an add-on and had to restart it. Then it asked me to reset Firefox or to use the safe mode. I chose the safe mode but instead it disabled the add-on. So I reseted the Firefox instead. And since then everytime I open the browser, it gives me a message saying "Your Firefox cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible." I went through all the forums, but they don't seem to help. They tell me to open it and recreate the profile but I can't even get the browser to open.

System details please? Disable or remove that Ad-don, install addons that you trust. Uninstall the current Mozilla and install the latest one. Make sure 'Mozilla' is removed fully from Appdata > Local - LocalLow - Roaming.

Did Firefox move the old profile to the desktop (Old Firefox Data) or is it still in the old location?

Try to create a new profile.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

See:

You can also try to reset Firefox:
