Couldn't install Mobile Firefox on Motorola Flipback with Android 2.1 so instead downloaded the APK file directly from our FTP server: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/

I get error: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK]

Here's the command line out: adb install fennec-5.0.en-US.eabi-arm.apk 1162 KB/s (12517538 bytes in 10.510s) pkg: /data/local/tmp/fennec-4.0.en-US.eabi-arm.apk Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK]

NOTE that other apk files or applications install fine with no problems. I've also tried other versions such as: fennec-5.0.multi.eabi-arm.apk fennec-5.0.en-US.eabi-arm.apk fennec-6.0b3.en-US.eabi-arm.apk fennec-4.0.en-US.eabi-arm.apk

A Motorola Backflip? There is no such phone as a Flipback.

Firefox requires an cpu that supports ARMv7. The Backflip supports ARMv6. Unfortunately our tests on ARMv6 have shown that the cpu is just too slow to support Firefox.

Yes, it's a "BACKFLIP. Sorry, the frustration has set in... This is one of AT&T Motorola Android phones. The basic specs are: Link: http://developer.motorola.com/products/backflip-me600/ PROCESSOR Qualcomm MSM7200A PROCESSOR CLOCK SPEED 528 MHz RAM 256 MB ... So it seems that Firefox has shun Arm6... Is there a litter browser that you could recommend? Thanks.

I meant "lighter mobile browser"...
