As described in this question I am unable to install addons in Thunderbird: when attempting to install an addon, either via the in-app browser or via a file, a pop-up window appears for which "Add" and "Cancel" buttons do nothing (there is no way to move or remove the window without killing the process).

Version: thunderbird 115.4.1-1 on 6.5.9-arch2-1

Please open the Error Console - ctrl + shift + J.

Try to install the addon.

Do you see anything new in the error console?

Each time I click cancel or add the following event is generated

`PopupNotifications._onButtonEvent: Button click happened before the window was focused`

Thanks for this suggestion, it seems it is an open issue others have found: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1829370 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1402386

Unfortuantely the suggested workaround of using Tab or Alt-A to focus / select the 'Add' button does not work for me. I cannot find a way of bringing 'focus' to the window. I am using the sway window manager (Wayland).

I'm having the exact same problem with Thunderbird in Arch Linux using river (another wlroots-based tiling WM). I tried focusing / clicking in many ways, without success.

Is there a way to edit the database to make the plugins installed "manually", or a command line?
