On Windows 7 system (64 bit Home Premium Service pack 1) Firefox 113.3.1esr locks up the Asus Notebook UL30A. Firefox "ABOUT" indicates this version is 'up to date'. Firefox launches, runs for several minutes and then locks up the computer forcing a warm reboot (holding the power key down for several seconds till the system shuts down). Running CCleaner, checking registry and other components has not solved this issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox has not solved the problem. Installing a different browser (Chrome) has solved the lockup issue. Firefox cannot be used because of this issue.

Does it still happen with hardware acceleration disabled?

That information, although helpful, did not fix the issue. However, if AOL is launched, the computer locks up.

Google mail does not lock the computer. Outlook mail does not affect the computer either.

The assumption then can be made, it is AOL that is the culprit?

Yet when AOL is launched in Chrome, no lockup. Firefox and AOL are not 'getting along'?
