For several days now, FF has been launching on its own, each time opening what seem to be an MSN news page

It even happened while I was playing MMOs, making it crash.

I am using Zone Alarm Antivirus + Firewall, which does not find any malware on my computer. I NEVER use MSN news, so for the time being I placed the site on block list.

I am very concerned with FF (up to date) launching on its own, regardless which site it opens; that could be a breach of security in FF code itself.

Update: I just tracked down the root cause of the issue: I am using a box 4G Huawei (model provided and imposed by my ISP, and I cannot use a wired connection) connected to my computers through a network.

Apparently this is an exploit of an FF feature, in 2 steps - First, the router makes FF believe that it must open the network connection page, even though it is connected. - Then FF redirects to that page when it finds the connection is actually there (is that page selected by FF, or by the router? either way, my home page is a blank page).

The main flaw seem to be FF not being able to figure that there is actually no disconnection nor need to display a page. The 2nd flaw is FF launching ON ITS OWN if it is not already started, when the router does this; that could be a Windows feature exploit. Contacting my ISP (I have used this router for over a year, if never did this before) since it that could be a malware recently installed in it, but that does not remove FF's vulnerability.
