Firefox fully updated for fully updated Windows 10 21H2 on HP Envy, 16 GB ram, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz. Only trouble known is that suddenly FF would not operate the Ancestry.com properly after years of everything operating just fine there. Finally swapped browsers to Chrome. That works 100% ok. My problem is that I want to use Firefox not Chrome.

I don't have the day-to-day familiarity with FF's JavaScript engine (likely where the issue lies) to say exactly what happened, but noticed that you're not the only person reporting the problem. Suggestion: have you reported the issue to ancestry.com as well? IMHO it's more likely they broke something vs. this being an explicit FF bug.

There's a discussion about the ancestry issue in the following thread.
