Hi guys,

Sometimes webpages display media using the default HTML5 player.

See https://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp for an example.

This player allows seeking using the keyboard and dragging the slider, but from a mobile phone (specially when orientation is vertical) and for long videos it's very difficult to drag little amounts of time and the keyboard is not available. Double tapping on the left / right side of the player does not have any effect unlike another players (the one from Invidious for example, see https://invidious.weblibre.org/watch?v=tsc4CodoGTw)

Do you know a solution for this? Could Firefox for Android implement seeking when double tapping?

Hi

Thank you for your question.

I believe that this is something beyond the control of Firefox for Android and is something that is part of the video player implemented in a website.
