Firefox changed my View settings with the recent update ...

The new changes don't make sense at all ... They basically reduced the contrast and/or increased the brightness in the toolbar. Like other humans, I rely on contrast to see where one thing ends and another thing starts.

I didn't ask for or agree to this ... How do I change it back? (I clicked around and it's not obvious.)

I need a way to increase brightness on the screen. Can't seem to find anything on the subject.

Never mind. I right clicked on the back screen and selected "settings". There it was at the top of the display: Change brightness.

Hi bhargin, sorry you didn't get a reply earlier, or on the topic you raised.

The "Proton" UI redesign launched in Firefox 89 eliminated the old "Default" theme. If you prefer the colors of that theme from Firefox 57-88, someone created an add-on theme that emulates it. You can give it a try here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/photon-colors/

If that color doesn't suit you, the Firefox Color extension lets you create your own theme:
