Can I stop one computer from syncing just the home page?

I love having my settings and bookmarks sync between all my devices. The only issue I have is that my work sets the home page via Group Policy and this homepage then becomes my homepage everywhere. Can I ignore Group Policy :-)... or stop just this setting from syncing to other devices?

You would do this by setting the services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.startup.homepage preference value to false on your work computer using the Configuration Editor for Firefox (about:config).

However, depending on how your organization manages Firefox, this change could be erased when you close Firefox or logout of your computer.

Hope this helps.

NOTE: When making changes to a work computer, review your computer usage agreement or consult your IT department to ensure that you are allowed to make the necessary changes to your computer before doing so.

That sounds like exactly what I was looking for! Thanks.

I'll see how it goes.
