Problem downloading Trojan.Kotver Removal tool

I fell for the scam web page: "Urgent Firefox Update". I clicked on it. I am trying to download Symantec's Trojan.Kotver Removal Tool. It doesn't seem to be working. I waited for an hour. It looks as though it is downloading, but it shows this message: "Unknown time remaining - 0 bytes". Any advice?

Is there another way to remove this Trojan maleware? I ran MalwareBytes. It removed one object. I don't know if it was the Trojan.Kotver. Is there a way to check if it is on my PC?

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

I was finally able to download Symantec's Trojan.Kotver Removal Tool. It did not find the Trojan.Kotver malware. Do you think my PC is OK, or should I run another kind of malware scanner, other than MalwareBytes; which I already used.

Thanks. I'm scared to run the other malware scanners. Some reviewers say they gave them problems with their PC after using them. I did run Avast free antivirus in addition to Malwarebytes.
