I cannot utilize the sign in to sync function. I try to sign in and no matter if it recognizes my email from logging on to the Mozilla.com site as soon as I get directed to the browser log in when I submit my email or password the page gets stuck and does not show any loading or error message at any point.

When I open any email in my inbox, other than those I am receiving today, there is no content. The email "opens" but there is no content. Only a blank page is displayed. This is a problem only with the inbox. All my previous "sent" messages are intact.

128.0.1esr and 128.1.0esr (64-bit) do not seem to compact folders or delete trash consistently. I delete trash and then compact folders and sometimes a little while later the trash folder comes back with the messages I deleted previously. I now seem to never get any thing on the bottom of the screen that says it compacted and how much was saved as pervious version did. Am I the only one with this issue? Thanks

TB has been working well for a long time - but it seems since updating to v128.1.0esr I can no longer send emails from my Gmail accounts. I can send emails with my Yahoo email account however. So the issue is specific to Gmail. Incoming mail works - only sending emails is the issue (SMTP).

I've attached files of the outgoing warning messages and TB SMTP settings. FYI - I have three Gmail accounts and one Yahoo account. When I press the "Enter New Password" button in the "Login to account Gmail Account failed" dialog box, nothing happens - the screen quickly blinks.

What's interesting, is the failed email is saved in the Drafts folder with Gmail online. In other words, if I login to Gmail via a web browser, the message is saved in the Drafts folder and I can send it from the web browser Gmail account - but not from TB. Any help would be appreciated. I did make $$ Donation to TB awhile back.

I have set all three of these to FALSE but they are still there after reboot.

Tried several times to add a new contact to my address book. When I click on the Save button it briefly enlarges but that's it. The new contact is not saved.

I tried closing and reopening TB and it still won't save the new contact.

Would appreciate help with this. Hoping it's not technically complicated, as I'm not an expert at this.

Sometimes my Thunderbird Inbox (or some other folder) is empty, and it's Properties Location is empty. I've found nothing to fix that except to close Thunderbird and reopen it; sometimes needing to wait a few or several minutes before reopening it. That's always (finally) worked, but I guess I'm concerned that one time it won't work. What could be causing that?

After updating to Thunderbird version 115.12.2(32 bit) two days ago, I can no longer send emails. I get an error message "Authentification error (VM401)" I use Virgin Media. I can receive emails OK. I have not changed any server settings for a long time. I have been in touch with Virgin Media, they say the problem is with Thunderbird as I can send emails from on their one line system. I can also send emails from my Android phone. Any help would be appreciated.

I have 4 gmail accounts with Thunderbird. A couple of days ago, my granny account started getting the attached message. It's the only gmail account that gets this. All of the settings are exactly the same for all accounts. I tried sending a test text from one of my other accounts - twice. They finally came in about 10 minutes later, so apparently messages CAN get to the account eventually. However, when I try to get all messages - or even just for this account - I get the attached message. This has been going on for at least 2 days. I can sign in just fine to this account if I sign in through my computer and go to the account online. Also, if I try to SEND an email from this account through Thunderbird, I get the message that the login failed and to enter a new password. When I click to enter a new password, the email goes through without any further action by me. I get the same message when hitting reply to the test message that finally was delivered. I'm at my wits end! Please help!! Thank you!!!

Hello, I'm Christian. I am still facing issues changing my Thunderbird into an IMAP account, for following reasons: -exporting the existing is OK -creating the IMAP account is OK -Reimporting the messages from previous POP3 account difficult, because: -when using the import fonction, a local folder is being created with a directory three that looks liked the previous Dir structure I had previously. But transfering the folder and files proves difficult, the copy/paste function does not work properly so I can't just click and drag. My thunderbird folder is approx. 20g, could that be the reason? Furthermore, I cannot delete the previous POP3 account or the local folders. Any idea why? I actually do have a thunderbird account (POP3) comprises of 4 differents email addresses, I can delete 3, but not the last one as it appears to be the default one. I'm considering changing the location of my HOME calendar. I went to Home Thunderbird Calendar "Changing calendar preferences" in Mozilla support and looked at "Location". It said "Location: This is the location of your calendar. Do not edit this unless you know what you are doing."

I have not had much success in getting more detail. What do I need to know to be sure I know what I am doing.
