I am unable to update plugins. I keep getting a popup from Content Advisor (http://127.0.0.1:50464/app/index.html). How do I disable content advisor?

I've been trying to update plugins (Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader to be exact), but the content advisor will not allow it. I've tried deactivating it, but with no success.

Could you perhaps also help with a direct link for Adobe Flash Player?

Sure, here you go. It's the "Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)" link on the following page.

See the following page for directions on using Content Advisor.

Note that Adobe doesn't make the latest version of Adobe Reader available to Windows Vista users. It does seem to run just fine under that operating system, however. On the following page, you can simply select either Windows 7 or Windows 8 to get the latest installer.
