When I run firefox it does not load the latest version of the website requiring the user to constantly perform a reload. I would like to be able to run firefox from scratch and have it load the latest version of the site.l

Yes Firefox seems to be loading the pages from the cache when you start Firefox and doesn't retrieve the current version unless the page isn't in the cache. I don't know of a way to avoid this. If you set the cache to clear when you close Firefox then this disables the disk cache, so the disk cache isn't used at all and only the memory cache is used (see about:cache). So that is not advised.

Maybe this extension can help:

Thanks for your response and I will try that addon but there must be another solution to this since I use Firefox on other computers and it loads fresh every time. I can't find any difference in the setups and preferences however. All use windows7 64bit. Very perplexing.

Hello Gr8gunz, in about:config, find (or copy/paste from here) the browser.cache.check_doc_frequency and change the value to 1 (double-click on it, change the value to 1 and click OK), exit firefox and re-start it.

be sure you have :

browser.cache.disk.enable or browser.cache.memory.enable set to true also.

thank you
