firefox supposedly works on kindle fire, but it will not allow the download (any solution to this)?

When I try and download firefox mobile to my Kindle fire I receive the message that it is not compatable, and the download is refused by the Kindle. When looking at the page of supported tablets, firefox claims that it compatable. Is there a workaround?

is still not working, check on settings applications- manage unknown source applications
