In previous versions of Ff I was able to go to a drop down box and return to my original start page (or any other that I had opened) without having to back scroll through all the opened links. I can't find a way to do that in 4.0.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker
