firefox crashes I submit report and the i get "No crash reports have been submitted" under about:crashes

I'm having this problem too. I've tried safe mode, reinstalling, but is still crashing several times an hour. The crashes seem to be most often associated with opening/navigating tabs. I've even tried running the HP dagnostic utilities (memory check, etc, but nothing was flagged up and everything else on the machine seems normal). Firefox was running fine on the laptop pretty much until today. Nothing in about:crashes, but here is an example from the Windows crash report:
