I have recently setup my new laptop. I have a bookmarks.html backup from my previous laptop. I go through the process of importing bookmarks.html on my new laptop after installing Firefox. After I select the file to import nothing happens.

Do you see the bookmarks if you open that HTML backup in a browser tab (File > Open File) ?
