I've seen this asked (and unanswered) previously.

Since there is an option, I want to know what this is. Does that mean all the rest of the stuff in the cache is public? ' What sort of stuff is in private data? Why do I want to (or not want to delete it.)?

I haven't seen this before and haven't seen it on the OSX Version.

Thank you. I had interpreted this that the Private data was different. The term "Private Data" hadn't been used before. And because of how I'm used to seeing options, this was also unclear. If the button said "submit" it would have been clearer.

One more example of tiny variations in what is obvious to one. Thank you.

Hi

As shown on your screenshot, clear private data is broken down into a number of categories, each with a control to include in clearing private data.
