The version of winXP SP2 is 2002. The PC has 1gb of ram. I can supply more info if you need it. I just need to know if this will work after March 2017. Thank you, Nick

Come 2017 Firefox 52.0 ESR looks to be your best option for continuing to use Firefox for as long as possible. How well it will work is another thing.

Mozilla is looking drop WinXP support as of Firefox 53.0 and later. This was not a matter of if but when as It is getting harder for Mozilla to deal with issues and testing on WinXP now days along with the costs.

If this happens then in order to have Firefox security updates for a while still you can use the then Firefox 52.0 ESR as the updates are for security and allowed stability fixes. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/faq/

A tracking bug on this is "Bug 1130266 - (xp-eol) Drop support for Windows XP/Vista" however the Bugzilla issues tracker is not a discussion forum like here so please no why? and such comments in these related bugs.

All I really need to know is "will the computer still work"? Will I still be able to use firefox as my browser? I'm not worried about the bugs because I saved all my program discs. I can rebuild the PC anytime I need to. I just need to know if the PC will still be able to use firefox as a browser? Thanks, Nick
